Abitibi-Témiscamingue is located West of Québec, along the Ontario border. Contrary to popular belief that our region is in northern Quebec, its 65,000 sq km of lush forests, fishing lakes, vibrant cities and picturesque villages extend north to south, from the 47th to 49th parallel. Nearly 145,000 people choose to live in this beautiful region.
 
The northern section of Abitibi-Témiscamingue is famous for its mining potential and boreal forest while the southern area is known for its fertile land and mixed woodlands. From North to South, the diversity of the flora, fauna and topography make for a very unique region. To visit Abitibi-Témiscamingue is to visit two regions in one, linked not by a common trait, but by its waterways. As its name signifies, its waters pour northward into the great basin of James Bay and south into the St. Lawrence. 
 
To meander through Abitibi-Témiscamingue by motorcycle is to escape completely, let yourself go and let the road guide you. Along the way, witness the incredible landscapes, diversified as they are awe-inspiring. To welcome warmly motorcyclists to our region, we have created a multitude of interesting sites, enriching attractions and authentic and festive events which reflect the essence of who we are. From Val-d'Or to Témiscaming, by way of Rouyn-Noranda, Amos, La Sarre and Ville-Marie, it is with great pride and pleasure the residents of Abitibi-Témiscamingue welcome you with open arms!
