Portneuf's backcountry and the Jacques Cartier Valley feature a remarkable diversity of landscapes. Made up of 80% forestland with over 1,000 lakes, the region has no less than three rivers (Jacques-Cartier, Sainte-Anne, and Portneuf) that flow into the St. Lawrence. The area is home to countless waterfalls and quaint local villages surrounded by fertile farmland. Why not stop off at the Portneuf wildlife reserve, Vallée du Bras-du-Nord, or the Duchesnay Touristic Station along the way! The entire region is a true vacationer's paradise.
