Trois-Pistoles is known for its cultural and natural heritage with an ever-present river. Kayak excursions at sea or on l’île aux Basques, artist shops, garden, heritage church... This lovely small town has everything to please you. After visiting the surrounding area, start your excursion with Jean-Rioux Street in the southward direction, which will become Route 293. A series of beautiful villages, valleys and hills will take turn to unveil very lovely viewpoints. At the junction of Route 232, turn right towards Témiscouata-sur-le-Lac, then onto Highway 85 to get to Dégelis. Here, the Témiscouata lake rules the landscape over more than 40 kilometers.

From Dégelis, take Route 295, starting point of the third offi cial tourism road of the region: Route des Monts Notre-Dame. This undulating and winding road is particularly beautiful in the autumn. Visit the Parc national du Lac-Témiscouata (via Dégelis, Saint-Juste-du-Lac or Squatec) or make a halt at the Domaine Acer in Auclair. Then, continue via Routes 295, 232 and 298, which will lead you to the holiday village of Sainte-Luce with its beautiful walkway bordering the Anse-aux-Coques and the biggest beach of the region.

Take Route 132 to get to Rimouski, maritime capital of the Bas-Saint-Laurent, where the river is part of the show. The Parc national du Bic and village (now annexed to Rimouski) are in close proximity: museums, lighthouse, submarine, island can be visited. In short, you will fi nd the multitude of services and entertainment a city of great importance can offer.
