Starting in Baie-Comeau, take Route 389 North. Contrasts and grandeur, the hydropower installations at kilometer markers 22 and 214 will take your breath away. The world's second largest hollow-joint gravity dam and the largest multiple-arch dam are definitely worth the ride. You can take advantage of the many lakes and rivers in open lands to do a little fishing and to gain access to Fermont and Labrador at kilometer marker 567 (see TQL map). Lovers of hilly, winding roads will not be disappointed. Meandering paved roads through the forest.
