| Take the New France Route (Route 360) on your way out of the capital. This scenic route once used by farmers bringing their wares to city markets links Old Québec to the history-laden Côte-de-Beaupré region. The road is still home to many reminders of days gone by, including the province's very first windmill (1651), its first pilgrimage site, Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré (1658), beautiful heritage homes and a host of other historic treasures. Join pilgrims from all over the world at the Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré Shrine, then head for the Cap Tourmente National Wildlife Area, a favorite migratory stopover for thousands of snow geese. |
